What you really want

In life there's so many things that we want. Each and every day brings with it something new. We want packet of crisps, a pizza, burger, a beer. In today's society we don't have to go very far to find any of these things. They're on our doorstep, on every corner. Living in China, its even easier. With food delivery so readily and easily available. You can order pretty much whatever you want, whenever you want. Food or not. I even ordered some plungers at 10.30 night and they were here in half an hour.
It's all so convenient. This isn't a blog post about how we have now become so sedentary and can't be bothered to get up off the sofa anymore. It's about what we want.
We want the food but we also want to be fit, lean and healthy. We want the washboard abs, we want to look good. The question is what do we really want. Out of all those things that we want, what is it that we really want the most. What is it that keeps coming back?
We can't have everything. We can't have our cake and eat it. So we have to decide. What do we want the most. Sometimes we're going to have to say no to things that we want. If we don't then we'll never actually get the things that we really want. We have lots of decisions to make on a daily basis and it needs to be guided by what we really want.
We have to give up the things that we want occasionally, sometimes frequently, sometimes even completely so we can have what we want the most. Sometimes we want to go out eat and have a few beers. But going to the gym and having a healthy meal afterwards gets us what we really want.
We need to get good and giving up what we want, so we can have the things that we really want.
